I found through the experience of attempting to furnish my own home, that finding interesting furniture was very time consuming, and when I did manage to find the furniture I wanted, it usually cost more than i wanted to pay, and arrived damaged.

My first purchase was a vintage French antique white mirror, quickly followed by an ornate antique white French headboard. I then followed that with a rococo style console table. Next came a beautiful antiqued glass venetian mirrored glass chest. Finally, after purchasing a beautiful French vintage silver chandelier, and a blackened silver console table,  I  had a long think.

I sensed that i could address these problems by bringing together my admiration for beautiful objects, craftsmanship, and my own belief in delivering outstanding value for money for other like-minded individuals.

So Scoutabout Interiors began, selling well sourced, hand crafted furniture, chandeliers and mirrors at the lowest possible prices - exactly what I like, and was buying myself.
